Jenny Harris
Jenny Harris became the Musical Director of Arundelair Chorus in January 2018. She brings a lifetime love of music, an enthusiasm for teamwork and creativity, and an exciting vision for the Arundelair Chorus as a preeminent community performance group for creative women.
Jenny is widely known in the Sweet Adelines community as a dynamic leader and a talented musician. She serves on the Sweet Adelines International Board of Directors and on several international level committees and task forces. She is the Bass of the SAI 2018 International Champion Quartet, Lustre, is a member of the Harbor City Music Company Show Chorus, and serves as a Bass Section Leader. Jenny is also the Vice President of the Silver Sorority, the Region 19 Association of Quartet Champions.
Jenny is a respected and sought-after coach for individuals, quartets and choruses in the barbershop art form. She's the organizing force behind the Backyard Barbershop Bash, an informal performance event series for up-and-coming barbershop quartets. She loves to sing, but even more so, she loves to share what she's learned with other people and support other singers in their quest for creative expression.
Jenny is married to Dave Harris, and they have adult kids and one grandson in St. Paul, MN and another adult kid in Philadelphia, PA. Jenny and Dave share their home in Baltimore, MD with two adorable rescue pups. Their living room is frequently filled with the sound of barbershop music as a rehearsal space and coaching space for individuals and quartets throughout the region.
